Present simple (affirmative, negative, interrogative)

Present Simple.

Present simple is the tense more easy and important in English.

The basic structure is:

Subject  -   verb  -  complement.

Example:

I watch T.v.

You walk in the street

We eat pizza.

They run in the park.

If the "subject" is third person add to "-s" in the verb.

Example:

He learns English.

She talks with Carmen.

Horse runs very fast

But if the verb ends in "-o","-sh", "-ch" , "-ss", "-x" , "-z", "-y" add to "-es".

Example:

He goes

He wishes

He reaches

He expresses

He fixes

He kisses

He buzzes

But if the verb ends in "-y when isn't preceded by a vowel add to "-ies".

Example:

He occupies

He studies

But if the verb ends in "-y" when preceded by a vowel add to "-s".

Example:

He buys

Present simple (negative)

The negative structure is.

Subject  -  do/does  -  not  -  verb (basic form)  -  complement.

Note: We use DOES when we talk in the third person.

Example:

I do not sing in a concert.

He does not sing in a concert.

They do not play soccer.

Note: We can use contraction for "do not" = "don't" and for "does not" = "doesn't" for informal mode.

Present simple (interrogative)

We do questions in present simple with the next structure. (yes/no questions)

Do/does  -  subjet  -  verb (basic form)  -  complement ?

Note: We use DOES when we talk in the third person.
Example:

Do you speack English?

Does he go to the cinema?

Do they drink soda?

I share you a video than explain "present simple"
